On April 12, 2008, Comite En Union Para Salvadorenos (CEUS) celebrated 15 years
of serving the North Jersey Hispanic community. |

More than 230 people attended the gala dinner at the Hilton Newark Airport in Elizabeth, New Jersey, which featured speeches, fine food and cultural
dancers and music.
|
|
|
CEUS marked the occasion by by honoring six people,
and one organization, who have shown commitment to helping immigrants:
~ Denis Johnston, union business agent
~Amy
Gottleib, immigrant rights attorney
~Jim Burchell,material aid organizer
~ Felix Alegria, formerSalvadoran deputy consul
~Brian Stack, Union City mayor/state senator
~ Liz Llorente,journalist

The event showed the strength and vision of CEUS and the depth of support for our work. We thank all those who attended, our sponsors, those who advertized in the commemorative journal and everyone who
